چکیده

Climate change is an important emerging issue worldwide; the surface temperature of earth anticipated to increase by 0.3 °C in every decade. This elevated causes adverse impact heat stress (HS) on vegetable crops; this has been considered as a crucial limiting factor for global food security well crop production. In tomato plants, HS also changes physiological, morphological, biochemical, and molecular responses during all vegetative reproductive growth stages, resulting poor fruit quality low yield. Thus, select genotypes develop cultivars with tolerance, feasible reliable screening strategies are required that can be adopted breeding programs both open-field greenhouse conditions. review, we discuss previous recent studies describing attempts screen heat-tolerant under have different regimes threshold temperatures, association tolerance physiological biochemical traits stages. addition, examined wide variety parameters evaluate tomato’s HS, including growth, such leaf parameters, plant height stem, terms flower number, set yield, pollen ovule development, thereby proposing development response high temperature.

Flooding tolerance of tomato genotypes during vegetative and reproductive stages

A greenhouse experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of flooding on two tomato cultivars and two wild related species. Forty days old tomato plants were subjected to a continuous flooding stress of different durations: 0, 2, 4 and 8 days. Plant pots were placed inside larger plastic pots; they were irrigated with excessive quantity of tap water at 25C so that the level of water above...

Genome-Wide Association Study of Developing Leaves' Heat Tolerance during Vegetative Growth Stages in a Sorghum Association Panel.

Heat stress reduces grain yield and quality worldwide. Enhancing heat tolerance of crops at all developmental stages is one of the essential strategies required for sustaining agricultural production especially as frequency of temperature extremes escalates in response to climate change. Although heat tolerance mechanisms have been studied extensively in model plant species, little is known abo...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Heat Tolerance in Tomato

High temperature is the prevalent characteristic of subtropical and tropical regions and higher temperature has become an important limiting element for tomato production and yield. Although, tomato crops exhibit anatomical, morphological, physiological, phonological, and molecular responses to tackle with heat stress, but their reproductive stage and yields are extremely influenced by the high...
